FAQ

What’s the goal of the assessment?
To give your child personalized feedback that boosts their confidence, prevents future injuries, and helps them perform their best — whether they’re just starting or already playing competitively.

Is it really free?
Yes! We offer these assessments to connect with families and help them understand how we can help them perform better.

What age is it for?
Ages 10-18 ideally since that's when development happen and we can help them prepare for college level.

Where does it happen?
At our local gym Base Factory Performance Training, in West Jordan, UT.
It can be done on video-call if you're interested in online coaching.

What happens during the session?
The athlete will go through a fun, professional strength and mobility screen with a coach.
It includes bodyweight movement tests, balance, coordination, and posture checks — all designed to give insight into how they move and where they can impr
ove.


Do I need to stay for the session?
Yes, we encourage parents to stay. It’s a great opportunity to understand how your child moves and ask questions about injury prevention, performance, and next steps.

What should the athlete wear or bring?
Just wear athletic clothes and bring water!
No equipment is needed — we’ll take care of everything else.

Jake Thackeray (Owner) started training when he was 16 years old.

He found his passion in becoming more athletic, and once he got back from his mission he decided to become a strength trainer.

With certifications in weigthlifting, nutrition, injury reduction and performance development, he loves to bring out the best in his athletes.
Over the past few years, he has helped athletes from all ages (10-72 years old) perform in sports and overcome obstacles in an outstanding way.
On the rare moments that he's not at the gym, Jake enjoys spending time with family and playing with their dog.

 

Larissa Paes Thackeray is a high level speed skater who has been representing Brazil in World competitions since she was 15 years old.

She understands the challenges of training hard from a young age, balancing life and sports, overcoming injuries and mental blocks. She is currently finishing her Graduate certificate in neuroscience and sports mental training.

Larissa works with our athletes by helping them with mental techniques for performance.​

She also enjoys time with family and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and traveling.
